• For example, New York recently legalized marijuana, which has sent ripples through the rules for marijuana drug testing in the workplace. It has also affected how companies achieve drug-free workplace certification in New York.

• And in Tennessee, the training needs for supervisors and employees are quite specific. Supervisors must take not only the supervisor training but also the employee education.

Frequency can also vary from one state to the next.

Arkansas Drug Free Workplace Training This training program provides Arkansas supervisors with information on reasonable suspicion decision-making and testing. It also covers information on drugs and alcohol.

Tennessee Supervisor Drug Free Workplace Training  The Tennessee drug and alcohol Supervisor training requirements are explained in the rules of the TN Department of Labor. New York Drug Free Workplace Training  This program is for supervisors in companies that maintain drug-free workplaces, including conducting non-DOT drug and alcohol testing, under New York state laws and regulations. It helps supervisor recognize and carry out their roles and responsibilities in a drug free work environment.

The training program explains key provisions of the Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act (MRTA), which legalized adult-use recreational marijuana, and its implications for marijuana testing.

The training also covers the indicators of current alcohol and drug use and the evidence requirements for making reasonable suspicion decisions.

Georgia Drug Free Workplace Training Georgia Education and Training Requirements. Initial and ongoing employee education and supervisor training are required components of a certified Georgia drug-free workplace.
